The Results Are In

Red Raider fans have been waiting in anticipation for weeks to find out whether or not WR Detron Lewis would score high enough on his re-take of the ACT to qualify to get into Texas Tech. On Tuesday afternoon he finally received his answer. Come inside as brings you the latest scoop on Detron Lewis.

The final piece of the 2007 recruiting class puzzle is now complete.

WR Detron Lewis was only the player from the '07 class whose status was still up in the air on whether or not he would be qualified to play football for the Red Raiders this fall. That question was answered today.

"Coach Mitchell, my recruiting coach, called me and let me know that I was good to go," said an ecstatic Lewis. "Man, I'm excited. I didn't even want to know what my score was. I'm so happy."

Lewis will joining a few other Tech wide outs, as they all prepare to make an early splash on the depth chart.

"I'll be rooming with Tramain (Swindall) and Rashad (Hawk). I'll be moving up to Lubbock on Sunday."

Lewis will likely play the H receiver position, but will need to work hard once he gets to campus if he wants to break the 2-deep.
