Askew to Decide Tomorrow

The Red Raiders could really use some more depth on the defensive line, and hopefully they will get that help by signing a few blue chip defensive tackles in the class of 2008. Texas Tech may get a shot tomorrow, with Arkansas DT Lavunce Askew announcing his decision on where he will be attending. RaiderPower talked with Lavunce today to see if the Red Raiders are on his list.

Lavunce Askew, a 6'3, 280 pound DT out of Camden, AR, will be announcing where he will be attending college Saturday at noon.

"I will be letting everyone know of my decision at noon tomorrow. Until then I'm keeping my mouth shut," said a smiling Askew. "I'm not letting the cat out of the bag just yet."

So which schools will the 3 star DT be choosing from?

"I will be deciding between Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Arkansas."

Arkansas appears to be the favorite, with Askew singing their praises after a visit to Fayetteville. Also, 2 of his teammates, QB Jim Youngblood and RB De'Anthony Curtis, have already committed to Arkansas as well.

When it comes to recruiting though, you just never know. Askew may suprise everyone and announce he will be spending his college years in Lubbock, TX.

Askew has taken visits to Tennessee and Arkansas.

Stay tune to as we will bring you the latest on what Lavunce decides tomorrow afternoon.
