J.R. Bryant Likes Three

J.R. Bryant is one of the most sought after JUCO linebackers in the entire country and he has narrowed his list down to three schools. Bryant took an official visit to Oklahoma last weekend, but the Red Raiders are still in the mix. Find out what Bryant had to say inside.

Scout.com four-star prospect J.R. Bryant, a 6-foot-2, 220-pound defensive end from Garden City College in Kan., made an official visit to Texas Tech back on Dec. 7th and had a great time in Lubbock. Bryant wanted to take a few more official visits before deciding though.

After returning from Oklahoma this past weekend, Bryant admitted that he really enjoyed himself on his official visit.

Chalk it up to bad luck, but the last two years the weather has not been kind in December towards the in-state schools recruiting efforts, but despite the fact it was cold, Bryant still warmed up to OU.

"It was really great. Everything was perfect except for the weather, I guess," Bryant said with a laugh. "I liked that I really got to spend a lot of time with coach Stoops. All of the coaches there were cool."

There is currently a 3 team battle for the standout linebacker. Texas Tech is still in the mix, but they will have a hard time beating out the Sooners.

"Right now I have a top three. Oklahoma is definitely number one and then number two and three are Texas Tech and Oklahoma State."

Does Bryant have any additional visits scheduled?

"The 1-11 weekend I am going to Oklahoma State for a visit," Bryant said. "After that visit I will know more about where I am going. I would like to have my decision before the end of January."
