Goodlow likes Texas Tech

Roderick Goodlow, a safety from Adamson High School in Dallas, has named Texas Tech as his early favorite. Come inside to see what he has to say about the 2007 football season and his recruitment so far.

A huge part of Dallas Adamson's turnaround in 2007 was the play of SS Roderick Goodlow, the 6'3 200 pound athlete who patrolled the secondary for the Leopards this year with 109 tackles and 4 INT's. Goodlow helped turn a team that had lost 57 of their past 58 games the past six years into a team that finished 6-4 in 2007 and narrowly missed the playoffs.

Roderick boasts 4.543 speed in the forty and a 245 pound bench press max sports a 32 inch vertical leap.

A starter since his freshman season, Goodlow is a two time first team all District 14-4A selection and he's a strong candidate to be named to the Class 4A All Dallas-Fort Worth team by

"I think my main strength is my versatility in the secondary. I can come up and stop the run but I'm good in coverage," said Goodlow, who mentions getting stronger this off-season as his number one priority.

As things stand right now, the favorite to land the safety from Dallas is Texas Tech although LSU, Stanford, Missouri, Florida and Texas are also in the mix.

Look for Goodlow to attend one or two camps this summer and he plans to keep busy with 7 on 7 play for the Leopards.

Not only is Goodlow a tremendous athlete on the field, he excels in the classroom as well. "I'd like to major in medicine or in the medical field," said the Adamson SS.

Roderick is not planning on committing soon as he wants to enjoy the recruiting process and trying to lead Adamson to the playoffs in 2008. "Last year was fun, the new staff came in and really turned the attitude around and they motivate us. The spirit around school is really good, more kids are now interested in Adamson football and that's a good thing."
