Owens, who participated last Saturday in the U.S. Army All-American Game in San Antonio, Texas, catching one pass for nine yards, has already visited Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Texas Tech. He is expected to visit Tennessee this weekend.
McGee has visited Oklahoma on an official visit and Oklahoma State on an unofficial visit. He has also visited Texas Tech.
Owens is 6-4, 225 pounds and this season had 59 receptions for 994 yards and 10 touchdowns. McGee is 6-5, 275 pounds and finished with 98 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and six sacks. He also had two interceptions and deflected six passes.
The general speculation is that the two players are going to wind up going to a school together and the consensus of people we spoke to in Muskogee think they are heading to Oklahoma. The two players aren't hinting after originally saying they were going to wait until signing day to announce.
Owens was adamant about waiting until signing day, but the two have seemed to grow tired of the recruiting process inspiring the shortcut and earlier announcement.
Nothing will be surprising including a change in the timing of the decision, which for now looks like it will come next Tuesday, January 15.
