Frenship HS offensive lineman Mason Walters will be one of the top lineman in the Lonestar State next year. Standing at 6'5 and 280 pounds, Texas Tech will be working hard to land the tall and athletic lineman.

"The only junior day I've got an invitation for is the Texas junior day in Austin," Mason Walters said. "That's the only one I've gotten an invitation to and the only one I know about, but I'm sure I'll be going to one at Tech."

Walters has been invited and will attend Texas' junior day on the 10th of February. He has made it no secret in the past that the schools that have already offered (Arizona, Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Tech) are at the top of his list.

"My deal is that I don't want to commit early. I want to go to all of the schools. I want to get out this summer and check out some out-of-state schools or take some of my official visits and learn more about what colleges from across the country are like and make a better decision for myself."

Walter did mention that one school in particular is recruiting him the hardest, which to this point has given them a leg up on the competition.

"The only way you can evaluate that is by looking at the level of interest, and Tech has definitely shown the most interest in me to this point. So right now, I would have to say Texas Tech," Walters said when ask if there was any school standing out more than the others.
