Texas ATH is in no rush

When it comes to football recruiting, San Antonio Madison ATH Andrew Green said he done with visits until later on in the year. With a couple of offers in hand, Green talked about a few schools that have offered and others that are eyeing him. RaiderPower.com has the update on where things stand with Green.

While many athletes of his caliber are making their decisions on college well before their senior season, San Antonio (TX) Madison athlete Andrew Green is taking this time to take everything in.

At the moment, the 6-foot-0, 180-pound Green holds three offers and has a couple of Big 12 schools interested. Now, he plans to wait and see how everything unfolds.

"I don't have any favorites. It is still early I see everybody the same," Green said. "I just got an offer from Iowa State today and I also have offers from Kansas and Houston. Texas Tech and Baylor are also showing me some interest."

As far as visits are concerned, Green has already been to Houston and Baylor for unofficial visits. But, he said he keeps solid contact with the Red Raider coaching staff.

"I like Texas Tech and I talk with them by phone and email," Green said. "Mainly I talk with them about my film. They said they like it a lot."

Green said he was unsure if a visit was in the near future, but that could change if one thing happens.

"If they offer, I will probably come down for a visit," Green said.

When it comes to visits, Green admits that he is probably done for the year. His early plans are to give a verbal commitment sometime after his senior season.

Playing on both sides of the ball, Green had 75 tackles and six interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) on defense. He played the last five games at running back and averaged 125 yards a game and scored seven times.
