"With my performance, I think I did pretty good," Gabriel said. "The competition here was good and my testing went well. In 7-on-7 and 1-on-1, I kind of showed out."
And that he did. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Gabriel made his presence known early making several big plays in team competitions. Now with the combine behind him, Gabriel looks to up his stocks before this off-season comes to a close.
At moment, he holds one offer.
Gabriel admits that he really does like Tulsa, but there is a Big 12 school that has caught his attention as well.
"I'm really liking Tulsa, but I like Texas Tech as well because they throw the ball a lot," Gabriel said. "My feeling towards them (Texas Tech) is pretty good. I would love to go to a camp and talk to one the coaches. That would be real good."
He said that Tulsa and Texas Tech are likely on his summer agenda. In addition, North Texas and Baylor are the other camps he would like to attend.
"I'm trying to go to more camps and spring games so I can pull in some more offers," Gabriel said. "I'm just looking for more offers from any colleges."
