Wade had told Scout.com on Tuesday that he would not be signing on Wednesday and planned to take one last visit to Nebraska before making a final decision.
It came as a surprise to everyone when Wade decided to fax in his LOI and forego his trip to Lincoln.
Graves, who was committed to Michigan, was considering Tech but was still seen as a long shot to end up anywhere besides Ann Arbor. After the tremendous news of Myles Wade's commit was being celebrated, Graves' fax came across and added to the excitement.
This class hit on several needs of the Red Raiders', especially on the defensive side of the ball. They signed a total of 6 players in the secondary and 6 defensive linemen, highlighted by last minute signees Wade and Graves.
Ward began classes in Lubbock back in early January and will be participating in Spring Practice.
Trevor Reilley, who is currently serving an LDS mission in Sweden, will fax in his LOI in March once he returns.
Today's signing day has to be seen as an enormous success. Tech was able to keep all of their commits and also sign two more that were unexpected coming into the day.
