Zach Winbush Commits to Tech

The Red Raiders landed yet another commit this week when athlete Zach Winbush out of Clemens High School in Schertz, TX made his pledge this evening.

Zachary Winbush was all set to commit to Missouri when he received a phone call during 4th period.

"Texas Tech called and offered me during school. I was planning on committing to Missouri, but when Tech offered I just couldn't resist."

Texas Tech landed a big time commitment over the weekend from 4 star QB Scotty Young and the good news just keeps on rolling in.

"The coaches were excited when I told them I wanted to commit," said Winbush. "They talked to my Dad as well and everyone was pleased."

During Tech's most recent Junior Day, Zach had a chance to tour Texas Tech and Lubbock and came away impressed.

"I was really impressed with their graduation rate, which was one of my biggest concerns. It's close to home and when I was up there for Junior Day, the facilities really impressed me."

Being such a versatile athlete, Zach can play several positions.

"My position is still up in the air, but right now it looks like I will probably play linebacker. But those kinds of things can always change."
