O.J. Ross Intrigued by Texas Tech

After a turning in a blazing 4.36 40-time at Scout.com's Orlando combine, Florida wide receiver O.J. Ross' recruiting stock has been shooting through the roof. The Red Raiders were quick to jump on ship, offering Ross a scholarship last week. RadierPower.com has the exclusive on Ross' reaction to Texas Tech's offer...

When Mainland (FL) WR O.J. Ross heard the news that Texas Tech was extending a scholarship offer, he was thrilled. The Red Raiders, who boast the most explosive offense in the nation, would be a great fit for the speedy playmaker, a fact that has not gone unnoticed by Ross.

"I was excited [to receive the offer], and I can see myself playing for the Red Raiders. I think that [Texas Tech] fits me, and I like that they throw the ball a lot. So yeah, Texas Tech is a definite possibility for the school I will choose."

The Red Raiders' All-American wide receiver Michael Crabtree is one of the main reasons that Ross is so high on Texas Tech.

"Michael Crabtree really put the interest that I have in Texas Tech in me. I like his style and how he plays, and I fell I can make an impact on the team just like he did."

Before he makes a decision, though, O.J. needs to become more familiar with the school and the state, which he will do as fall rolls around.

"After September 1st I plan on visiting Texas Tech."

With offers from big name programs including Michigan, Arkansas, and Ole Miss and interest from schools across the country, Ross is waiting to narrow things down until he has a better idea of what his options will be.

"I don't really have a top 3 or anything at this point. I'm still waiting for more colleges. Right now I'm just trying to finish up the spring to see how my choices will look."
