Delans Griffin 100% Solid

Oklahoma RB Delans Griffin is one of the biggest talents in the state, and he is working hard his senior year to ensure that he goes out with a bang. RaiderPower.com caught up with the talented athlete to find out how his senior season has gone so far and how confident he is feeling in his commitment to Texas Tech.

Since committing to the Red Raiders back in August, Oklahoma running back Delans Griffin has been focused on his senior season. The Clinton High School Red Tornadoes currently sit at 4-3, and after suffering a minor setback, Griffin is confident that he will be able to help lead them deep in the playoffs.

"The season is going pretty good. I got hurt a little, but I'm fine now. I broke the fifth metatarsal in my foot and had surgery on it about five weeks ago. I only got to play two games at tailback this year, but it's alright. We will still go all the way."

Griffin, who is still recovering from the injury, recently returned to the field in at wide receiver but says that he is confident he will be 100% soon and back to playing running back.

"I played receiver last week just to keep it safe."

Besides looking forward to being able to play at full speed, Griffin is also anticipating his upcoming visit to Lubbock, where he will watch Texas Tech face off with the Oklahoma Sooners.

"I'm going to be coming to Tech November 21 for my official visit. It should be a good weekend to come."

On the recruiting front, things have slowed down significantly since his August commitment to the Red Raiders. Delans, who also holds offers from Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, and Tulsa, explains that most of the schools have backed off lately.

"No other schools have really been coming after me hard since I committed to Tech. I don't have any new offers."

Not that he's complaining- Griffin says he's happy to be a Red Raider and is extremely solid in his commitment to Texas Tech.

"Yes sir, I'm very solid to Tech."
