With five offers already on the table, San Antonio (MacArthur) tight end Jace Amaro's recruitment is heating up quickly.

Jace, who recorded 429 yards and two touchdowns before suffering a season-ending injury as a junior, says he is excited about all of the attention he's been receiving and enjoying the recruiting process so far.

"Recruiting is going pretty great," Jace said. "I got an offer from Texas Tech a couple of weeks back. I also have offers from Duke, Baylor, A&M, and Arizona. My top three are Tech, A&M, and Baylor."

Amaro visited Texas A&M recently and left very impressed with the Aggies program.

"My visit was great. I really enjoyed it, and I got to spend a lot of time with all of the coaches and talk to them individually."

As far as his feelings about Texas Tech, Jace says that he loves the Red Raiders and is very familiar with the team due to the fact that his father played for the Red Raiders in college.

"It's a great school, and I've always watched them play. I feel like I could fit in very well there with my personality and in their system."

Despite his family's ties to the Red Raiders, Jace claims that he will make his decision based on where he feels the most comfortable.

"[My dad being a former player at Texas Tech] won't be too much of a factor for me, just whichever school fits me best."

While Amaro has a solid top three, he says that he is not yet ready to make a decision but hopes to commit "sometime in April."

Next up for the talented tight end is learning more about his favorite schools. He will attend Texas Tech's Junior Day on March 27th.
