A number of Longhorn commitments visited for the team banquet, and Onyegbule said he loved the trip.
"It went really well," Onyegbule said. "Jackson Jeffcoat showed me around, and I really loved it."
Onyegbule said he was impressed by the fan turnout for a Texas volleyball game, and especially enjoyed visiting with Longhorn head Mack Brown.
"I"m 100 percent Longhorn," Onyegbule said. "I'm definitely committed."
Onyegbule's visit came after a strong senior season where he was named second-team All-District as a quarterback. He might have been ranked even higher, but missed some time with an injury. The Colts were knocked out of the playoffs by defending state champion Abilene.
Now, Onyegbule is spending time working out with former Arlington Martin rival and Purdue commitment Russell Bellomy, with Bellomy throwing passes at the soon-to-be Texas receiver to help him get the nuances of the position down.
"I'm not quite 100 percent yet," Onyegbule said. "But I'm just going to keep working."
