Recruiting Capsule: Wide Receiver

Texas has one of the top wide receiver classes in the country, and could solidify its standing as the nation's top group with a couple of late commitments.

2012 Roster Shape

Marquise Goodwin (senior); DeSean Hales (senior); Mike Davis (junior); Darius White (junior); John Harris (sophomore); Bryant Jackson (sophomore); Miles Onyegbule (sophomore); Jaxon Shipley (sophomore)

2012 Commitments

Thomas Johnson, Dallas Skyline; Cayleb Jones, Austin

2012 Outlook: Still Working

Texas has offers out to multiple receiver prospects, including Dorial Green-Beckham, the country's top player at the position. And Kendall Sanders, an athlete out of Athens, also picked up a recent offer. The Longhorns would take both players, and could potentially even take another, if that player was somebody like Corey Coleman. So the Longhorns could only be half-full at this point. Green-Beckham will be a tough pull, but don't be surprised if Sanders pulls the trigger before too long. And while Orlando Thomas will be covered in the cornerback section, he was actually recruited as an athlete, meaning he could spend time at receiver before all is said and done.
