LonghornDigest.com Texas Top 50

LonghornDigest.com is listing the top-50 2013 players in the state of Texas. Come inside for Nos. 36-40.

36) WR Devin Lauderdale, 5-10 170, Bellaire (Texas Tech)

A great fit for Texas Tech, Lauderdale gets the ball in 80 different ways for Bellaire, and he's dangerous in every one of them. Elusive with the ball in his hands and has great speed. An excellent jet-sweep player.

37) S Kameron Miles, 6-2 212, West Mesquite

Big, rangy safety who isn't afraid to bring the wood. Miles's size makes it easy for everyone to see him as a linebacker, but he's a good enough athlete that he certainly play safety in the right scheme.

38) QB Chris Johnson, 6-4 212, Bryan (Baylor)

Baylor landed a great one in Johnson, who is one of the state's top athletes. Does tons of damage as a zone-read runner with his strength and speed, and could play multiple other positions if QB doesn't work out.

39) CB Antwuan Davis, 6-1 171, Bastrop

Elite-level athlete whose game has yet to catch up to his potential. Davis is 6-1 with 4.3 speed, but was injured last year. He has all the tools to be a great cover man.

40) DT Vincent Taylor, 6-3 270, San Antonio Madison

Long-armed interior player is an excellent athlete for his size. Taylor has the length to play as a 3-4 defensive end, but is best-suited for a penetrating one-gap tackle at the next level.
