Texas Injury Notes

A few injury notes before Texas takes on Kansas State in Manhattan.

When traveling to face one of the Big 12's most physical teams, it helps to have all hands on deck. But Texas will be playing a man down when trying to defend Kansas State's vaunted rushing attack.

According to Texas head athletic trainer for football Kenny Boyd, defensive tackle Ashton Dorsey will miss the trip to Manhattan because of a concussion. Dorsey is a key part of Texas's defensive tackle rotation, though his absence could lead to more repetitions for emerging freshman talent Malcom Brown.

Kicker Anthony Fera (hip) will also not make the trip because of injury. Fera lost his job to Nick Jordan in recent weeks.

Every other Longhorn who was sidelined against TCU — including quarterback David Ash and defensive end Alex Okafor — made the trip and will be game-time decisions.
