Texas Suspends Two Players

Texas coach Mack Brown said that the Longhorns have sent home two players from the Alamo Bowl for violation of team rules.

Those two players appear to be junior linebacker Jordan Hicks and junior quarterback Case McCoy, though Brown didn't list the players by name, nor did he list the offenses committed.

That announcement comes as two players were named in sexual assault allegations for an incident allegedly occurring early Friday morning. No names have been released, nor have any arrests been made, nor charges filed.

The San Antonio Police Department described Subject No. 1 as a bald black male of medium build, age 20, 6-foot-2, 235 pounds. Subject No. 2 was described as a 21-year-old white male with brown collar-length hair and green eyes. Subject No. 2 measured at 6-0 180.

Hicks is listed on the Texas roster at 6-2 235. McCoy is listed at 6-2 200.

Hicks is out with an injury and is redshirting this season, while McCoy was the backup quarterback to David Ash.

According to the police report, the woman met the two players at a nightclub before bringing them back to her hotel room at the Holiday Inn Riverwalk. The woman claims she was raped by one of the men, while the other "just stood there and watched." The woman, who said she had four alcoholic drinks at the nightclub, added "I don't quite remember."

The report indicated that the woman was bruised on her right knee and bicep.

Both players are currently under investigation.
