Media Releases Preseason Poll

Media members picked Texas to finish fourth as part of the Preseason Media Poll released on Thursday.

In a razor-thin margin at the top, Texas was finished to place fourth in the Big 12, behind Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and TCU. The Cowboys, picked to finish first, led with the most first-place votes with 15, while the Sooners (8), Horned Frogs (9), Longhorns (8) and Baylor Bears (2) all finished with multiple first-place votes. Sixth-place pick Kansas State also picked up a first-place vote.

How small is the difference between No. 1 and No. 4? Oklahoma State is on top of Texas by 28 points, while the difference between Texas and the No. 5 school, Baylor, is 55 points.
