Texas Injury Update

Texas releases injury report ahead the of Iowa State game.

Wide receiver Daje Johnson has largely recovered from an ankle injury suffered in the season's second game against BYU, and is expected to play against Iowa State. Fellow wide receiver Mike Davis is less certain. He practiced on Sunday, and will be evaluated through the week. That's also the approach with tight end Greg Daniels, who practiced Sunday as well.

Starting quarterback David Ash is also listed as day-to-day after showing symptoms of a head injury against Kansas State. He originally suffered a concussion against BYU, and missed the Ole Miss game. Ash started the game against the Wildcats, but was pulled at halftime after the medical staff conducted more tests.

Right tackle Josh Cochran has been declared out for the game. He will be replaced by sophomore Kennedy Estelle. Estelle also started for Cochran against Kansas State.

Steve Edmond isn't hurt, but will miss the first half after getting ejected for targeting against Kansas State. He will be able to play against the Cyclones in the second half.
