2014 DE Offered By Texas

Texas offered, and will get a visit from, one of the fastest rising defensive prospects in the state for 2014.

Saturday, Texas extended an offer to 2014 Schertz Clemens defensive end Kolin Hill, a speed demon off the edge who would seem to fit the quickness mandate that Charlie Strong has for his defensive linemen.

The previous Texas staff took a long look at Hill after Hill's big senior year, but never wound up offering the speedy prospect. Instead, Hill committed to play at Notre Dame.

But Hill liked the Longhorns the first go-round, and he told LonghornDigest.com by text that he plans to visit Texas next weekend, the final one for official visits.

"I'm still a ND commit I just want to see who the visit goes on the 31st to UT," Hill texted.

With Solomon Thomas eliminating the Longhorns, Texas still had an opening for another end prospect to add to a strong duo of Derick Roberson and Sione Teuhema.
