Today we'll look at recruits formerly committed to Texas in 2015 and where their recruitments stand at this point.
2015 CB Jalen Campbell (Corpus Christi, Texas/Flower Bluff)
Right now Oregon and TCU are his top two teams, according to what he's told Scout.com. The Ducks have somewhat of a personal recruiter in recent signee Arrion Springs, who is trying to get the former UT commitment to the West Coast.
Campbell is waiting to see who else might join the picture but will take visits to both of these schools this summer and could commit shortly thereafter.
2015 OL Aaron Garza (Sherman, Texas)
Garza was all about the Longhorns until Mack Brown resigned and he opened up his recruitment.
Now that he's back on the market, Garza has slimmed down from 330 pounds to 298 pounds and teams are taking notice of his hard work.
2015 S Johnny Shaw (Orange, Texas/West Orange-Stark)
This is a player to keep an eye on. Shaw, of course, was committed to Mack Brown but was told the new staff wanted to do their own evaluations and pulled his offer.
Shaw doesn't harbor bad feelings toward the staff. He understands what the staff had to do and why they did it. But he's not going to settle for where he's at right now. He wants to be back with Texas and will try to prove that to the staff at a camp this summer.
Don't be surprised to see him commit if he is offered by the new staff.
2015 WR Keke Coutee (Lufkin, Texas)
Interest in Coutee has picked up quite a bit since he backed away from his commitment in mid January.
2015 DT Bryce English (DeSoto, Texas)
English was a recruit that probably wasn't going to end up at Texas once Charlie Strong took over. The staff appeared to want to go in a different direction, and English did too.
