Tristian Houston Glad to be a Longhorn

Galena Park (TX) North Shore Senior standout running back Tristian Houston is on board with the Texas Longhorns and he could not be happier about his decision.

Texas head coach Charlie Strong received great news back in April when 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back Tristian Houston announced his intentions to join the Longhorn nation.

"It's been great since I became a Longhorn," Houston said. "I have a lot of people saying I made the right decision to play for Charlie Strong because he is a great coach."

Houston has not only built good relations with coach Strong but running backs coach Tommie Robinson.

"I speak with coach Robinson the most," Houston said. "He want's me to come in and work hard for the starting spot and become a true freshman running back. Every time I step foot on campus I feel like I am already there. They have always been my family."

What can the Texas fan base expect to see from Houston moving forward?

"My strength as a player is not just running the ball but being a leader and a brother for my teammates," Houston said. "The best part about being a Longhorn is that not matter where you are you'll always have family."
