Let's Ride: No 12

Charlie Strong and the rest of the Texas coaching staff have added another piece to the puzzle.

A puzzle that is coming together slowly but surely for the first-year Longhorns head coach.

Talented defensive end Louis Brown (Burton, Texas) has decided to join the Longhorns, sources tell HD.

The three-star standout informed the coaching staff moments ago as the Texas coaches were thrilled with the decision. He is the 12th commitment for UT in 2015.

Brown is the No. 46 DE prospect in the country, according to Scout.com.

A one time Baylor verbal commitment, Brown holds offers from Baylor, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas to name a few.

This is an important addition the Longhorns as Brown has great athletic ability, intensity, effort and is very explosive off the edge, which is exactly what the defensive coaching staff is looking for.

All that is needed from Brown is strength and added weight, which will come once he is on campus and under the guidance of Pat Moorer.

He joins Charles Omenihu as Texas' two defensive end commitments in 2015. But UT isn't quite done up front. Look for the Longhorns to take two more defensive line players possibly three by National Signing Day.

A couple of names to keep an eye on include Du'Vonta Lampkin, a former OU commitment, Takkarist McKinley, a JUCO DE out of California, and Darrion Daniels (Dallas, Texas/Bishop Dunne).
