Kaden Smith Has Option

The No 2 ranked tight end prospect in America for the class of 2016 checks in from Flower Mound (TX) Marcus High School. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Kaden Smith has plenty of options moving forward.

Kaden Smith is coming off a very impressive sophomore season, 40 receptions for over 600 yards and eight touchdowns. Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Stanford and Oklahoma are just a few schools to extend Smith a verbal offer.

"The recruiting process has been great," Smith said. "I've been enjoying visiting schools to see how I would fit their system and life style of the campus."

Smith talked about why he is one of the most heavily recruited players in America regardless of position?

"I believe coaches love my game for my versatility," Smith said. "I can spread out and play receiver and catch long balls or block corners. I can be attached and block while running routes off the line. I can also play slot and catch high balls over the middle using my body."

Smith has good relations with the Texas coaching staff. Do not expect to see him make an early announcement as he intends to see all the schools he is interested in before making a decision.

"My recruiting coach is [Chris] Rumph," Smith said. "I began talking to him while he was at Bama and our relationship has transferred over to Texas. Coach [Charlie] Strong and I have had great conversations and he is a great coach and person. I feel as if all the schools I am interested in have open arms and would love for me to come to their school. I would like to make my final decision when I have seen all the schools I'm interested in."
