The recruiting process has long been over for running back Tristian Houston. The three-star, 5-foot-10, 195-pound back is going to be a Texas Longhorn. With the recruiting process over, Houston is looking forward to his senior season.
"The team is looking real good," Houston said. "Our strength is coming together during hard times. I'm very excited for the season to start because it's my last year, and I'm ready to move on to the next chapter in my life. My biggest goals are making it out of high school healthy and rushing for over 2,000 yards. Our team goals, we are looking to have a great season and to continue to get better every day."
Houston is one of 14 verbal commitments for head coach Charlie Strong. The Longhorns are doing an outstanding job recruiting both lines of scrimmage and will look to add a couple more on the defensive side of the ball to already bolster a nice defensive line class with Charles Omenihu, Louis Brown and Du'Vonta Lampkin.
