Louis Brown Ready for Senior Season

The Texas Longhorns picked up a big verbal commitment on July 21st when three-star defensive end Louis Brown made his intentions known. Brown, a 6-foot-6, 210-pound end is one of two defensive ends (Charles Omenihu) in the class of 2015 for head coach Charlie Strong.

Defensive end Louis Brown checks in from Burton (TX) at 6-foot-6, 210-pounds. Brown is counting down the days until his final high school football season begins.

"The team is looking pretty good," Brown said. "We changed our whole playbook up. The plays are more for our team speed which will be better. We have a fast team, from linemen to backs and receivers. I am very excited about my last year; it all went by so fast. I want to enjoy my last year being able to play any sport for Burton. My goal is to win the state, and I also want to play in the Army AA game. I am just here to win games for the coaches."

On offense, he actually spends time in the backfield. It's odd seeing a player with his length lined up there, but he is explosive, catches the ball well and does an adequate job blocking. On defense, he lines up on the edge as an OLB and moves well in the open field, again for a player with his length. He shows a wide arrange of skills. Brown has good explosion, hits hard, can patrol the flats and most impressive is his closing speed. – Powers
