Jordan Carmouche Takes in Austin

At 6-foot-1, 210-pounds, standout Jordan Carmouche has offers from Houston and Arkansas with a serious interest from Texas, Baylor and Georgia. Carmouche was able to visit Austin this weekend as Texas hosted North Texas in the season opener for both teams.

Jordan Carmouche is a standout outside linebacker from Manvel High School. Manvel is one of the most talented programs in the state of Texas and Charlie Strong and staff have taken notice.

"It was a great game, and I liked the atmosphere," Carmouche said. "I think they played great. The defense was lights out, and I liked that and it was amazing in the stands. I talked to all the coaches and hung out with Reggie Hemphill, Derrick Tucker and D'Vaughn Pennamon."

Carmouche is another standout 2016 player Texas will watch very closely, namely linebacker coach Brian Jean-Mary.

"Coach BJ was just telling me they are going to be in touch with me," Carmouche said. "I thought the fans were great, and I am not sure when I will be back, but I will be back for a Texas game this year."

Carmouche, Hemphill, Pennamon, Tucker and Jarred Mayden are all on the Texas radar.
