A Name to Know for Texas Fans

At 6-foot-4, 300-pounds, offensive linemen Zach Shackelford is hard to miss in any crowd, even when it's 95,000 fans decked out in burnt orange Texas gear. Zach Shackelford checks in from Belton (TX) and is a name to remember for all recruiting fans for the class of 2016.

Kansas State has already offered Zach Shackelford, the first of many offers still to come for the standout linemen. Texas Tech, Purdue, Nebraska and Arkansas has shown the most love and now Texas is in the mix.

"Texas was awesome," Shackelford said. "The fans were crazy, they showed the recruits a lot of respect, the atmosphere was awesome at the stadium with cannons going off and people yelling, a lot of traditions. I thought they played with a lot of heart and enthusiasm. When I arrived I was greeted by a police officer who led me through a crowd of people, was given a huge meal, and the coaches came over and talked to me, and they just talked about my game on Friday night and how well I did. I talked to all the recruiting coaches and a couple of position coaches."

Shackelford is very impressive on tape and a player I expect Texas to stay on and give a serious look moving forward. It is always hard to predict which kids land offers, but this is one player I would expect to receive an offer if his game continues to improve.
