Shipley Questionable

Longhorn senior wide receiver Jaxon Shipley sustained a head injury during the BYU game and is questionable for Saturday's game with UCLA.

"Jaxon is being evaluated, treated and is currently going through our rigorous return to play protocols," Texas Head Athletic Trainer for Football Anthony Pass said.

Not good news for the Longhorns, obviously.

Maybe this is the week that we see Marcus Johnson break out? Or possibly Petey Warrick? Could this force Texas' hand in finding out what it has from its TE's?

We'll see.

Again, Shipley not ruled out for Saturday but his status has been downgraded to questionable.

If Shipley is unable to go and Daje Johnson doesn't come back from suspension, Texas will be without six of its 11 projected preseason offensive starters.

Shipley is second on the team behind John Harris with 11 catches for 79 yards.
