Ryan Newsome Visits Texas/UCLA

The Texas Longhorns are in search of top-shelf offensive talent at the wide receiver position. Ryan Newsome checks in as the No 26 ranked wideout prospect in the nation. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound standout is from Aledo (TX) and had a chance to attend the UCLA/Texas game this past weekend.

Ryan Newsome is a four-star wide receiver prospect in the class of 2015. The lightning in a bottle playmaker has offers from some of the biggest programs in America including Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, UCLA and Alabama to name a few.

"I attended the game with my brother," Newsome said. "I sat with Malik Jefferson; Texas fans brought the energy, and they were into it. It was one of those games where whoever made the least mistakes would come out on top. I feel like I could fit in well once I got acclimated to the system and how coach [Shawn] Watson wants things done and they will execute and be fine."

Newsome is not sure who will get his next visit. He also spent time with Charles Omenihu and DeShon Elliott during yesterday's game.
