TE Greg Daniels Returns From Injury

Texas to get some much-needed depth at the tight end position with the return of senior Greg Daniels. HornsDigest has the latest.

Greg Daniels has returned to full contact in practice after having arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-August, when it was projected he would probably be out six weeks.

A return to game action by Daniels, a senior, either this week at Kansas or next week against Baylor would be a big boost to UT's multiple tight end sets as Daniels and Geoff Swaim are seen as the best blockers in the TE group. Although M.J. McFarland is improved as a blocker.

UT does have some three TE sets it hasn't been able to run, because of a lack of depth at the position (Andrew Beck is the only other scholarship player working at the TE position after moving there from LB when Daniels had his surgery).
