The Newest Longhorn Talks Texas

Head coach Charlie Strong and linebacker coach Brian Jean-Mary added an important piece to the puzzle when outside linebacker Breckyn Hager decided to join the Longhorn Nation and keep it all in the family.

Breckyn Hager checks in at 6-foot-3, 220-pounds from Austin (TX) Westlake. He is a three-star outside linebacker with plenty of upsides. He has a long, lean frame that could add 20-pounds moving forward.

"Being part of the Longhorn nation is a dream come true," Hager said. "It's such a blessing to be playing at THE University of Texas. What I do best is hit the hardest and react the quickest. I also make game changing plays. Texas fans should know I am coming after my dad's tackling records."

Britt Harley Hager played nine seasons in the NFL with the Eagles, Broncos and Rams. He played college football at the University of Texas and was drafted in the third round of the 89 NFL draft.

Look for Texas and company to bring in 3-4 total backers in the class of 2015. Malik Jefferson, Cameron Townsend, Semaj Thomas and Anthony Wheeler are still on the board for the Longhorns with a few others.
