WR Mykel Jones one of the best for 2016

Mykel Jones is a four-star wide receiver in the class of 2016. The No 18 ranked wide out checks in at 6-foot, 185-pounds from Patterson (LA) Patterson High School.

Mykel Jones holds offers from Texas, USC, UCLA, Tennessee, Penn State, LSU and Florida State to name a few.

"We are 1-3 and have Westlake next," Jones said. "In our last game I had two catches for 140 yards and also had a few pass break ups."

Jones has his pick of potential future homes. He is one of the most heavily recruited players in the state of Louisiana regardless of position.

"USC, Florida State, LSU, Texas, Alabama and Tennessee are showing me the most love right now," Jones said. "I plan on going to watch games at USC, UCLA, LSU, Auburn and Alabama."

Jones is a big college football fan and knows everyone has the potential to win games regardless of the opponent.

"This season is very interesting because everybody has potential to win week in and week out," Jones said. "Every conference is getting more and more competitive."

Jones has visited Texas and remains interested in the Longhorns.

"As far as Texas coaches and the team is concerned I'm still very interested," Jones said. "They continuously are getting better every week!"
