"We are 1-3 on the year and 1-0 in district," Sells said. "We play Sherman next at home. I haven't played the way I've wanted to start the season, turned the ball over too much. I've done well with managing the tempo and controlling the offense, as well as moving in the pocket and knowing when to scramble. I don't believe I've been sacked yet this season."
Sells is starting to get major attention from numerous schools in addition to his three offers.
"Clemson, Ohio State, and Iowa are who I have offers from as of right now," Sells said. "I've been talking to those schools as well as Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas. I've visited Clemson, Ohio State, Texas, and Oklahoma all for camps, but I'll be attending a Clemson game on October 27. Also trying to work on maybe going to the Arkansas game on October 11."
One Southeastern Conference team has caught his eye.
"Ole Miss has caught my eye this year as they're off to a good start," Sells said. "I'm interested in seeing how the rest of their season goes."
Sells and his family are familiar with the Texas program.
"I grew up liking the Texas football program just because I have quite a bit of family who lives in Austin," Sells said. "Charlie Strong is a great coach, and I respect his values and how he expects his players to perform on and off the field."
