Eric Cuffee is One to Watch

Head coach Charlie Strong and defensive coordinator Vance Bedford put a premium on the defensive back positions. One of the top defensive backs in Texas for 2016 will visit Texas this weekend.

Eric Cuffee is a four-star cornerback from Waco (TX) The 6-foot, 190-pound defensive back has interest from Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas State.

"Our records is 0-5 right now," Cuffee said. "I've been handling my business on the field. Main thing I need to work on is coming back more aggressively for under-thrown fade balls."

One team is working extra hard to show Cuffee how they feel.

"Right now TCU, and Coach Gary Patterson are showing me the most love," Cuffee said. "I just recently visited TCU. The next visit I'll be taking is to Texas, also planning on visiting Oklahoma, Mississippi State and a couple more not sure at the moment."

Cuffee is a big fan of head coach Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns.

"I love the Texas Coaching staff," Cuffee said. "They are very serious and care about the recruits. Coach Charlie Strong rules don't bother me a bit, it just shows he has high expectations for his players."
