Demerick Gary Setting up Visits

Dallas (TX) Justin F Kimball High School is home to defensive linemen Demerick Gary. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive end/tackle prospect will make two visits over the next two weekends.

Demerick Gary has interest from Purdue, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas State. He will get a chance to take some visits over the next two weeks.

"We are 3-2, and we play Dallas Adamson," Gary said. "I've been stopping the run very well and have 6 ½ sacks as of now but I need to work on more pass rushing. Purdue, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas State are showing the most. I haven't visited any schools yet, but this Saturday I will be at Oklahoma State and next week I will be at Texas/Oklahoma. The following week I will be at the TCU game and then Arkansas State on November 29. I will take more trips later."

It has been a crazy college football season so far, and Gary talked about what has surprised him the most.

"What has surprised me is just because you are in the top 25 doesn't mean you can't be stopped," Gary said.

Gary has not had a chance to meet Charlie Strong, but he likes what the new head coach is doing in Austin.

"Coach Strong is a very strict coach. He means business about everything and he has shown that no matter who you are he will not take anything but the best from you," Gary said. "I like the guy and the program he is building."
