Ronnie Hoggins Talks Texas Offer

Head coach Charlie Strong is searching for the very best defensive backs in America. He may have found one in the Sunshine state by the name of Ronnie Hoggins. The 5-foot-9, 167-pound corner has 13 interceptions on the year.

Ronnie Hoggins is a 5-foot-9, 167-pound cover corner from Coconut Creek (Fla) Monarch High School. The three-star defensive play maker has offers from Louisville, TCU, Wisconsin, Miami, Nebraska and now the Texas Longhorns.

Size isn't everything and Hoggins lets his play do the talking. He is blessed with great instincts, speed and technique.

"Coach [Charlie] Strong is a great coach and gets the best out of his kids," Hoggins said. "The offer means a lot because he's giving me the opportunity to do something I already wanted to do."

Texas fans can expect Charlie Strong and defensive coordinator Vance Bedford to take as many as three true corners in the class of 2015. Texas fans can also expect to see Hoggins visit Austin in the very near future.
