Let's Ride: Longhorns Get New Commitment

Texas has just picked up a commitment from a player originally committed to another Big 12 school.

JUCO offensive lineman Tristan Nickelson has just committed to the Longhorns, HornsDigest.com has learned.

Nickelson (6-foot-8, 285 pounds) switched his commitment from Iowa State to Texas after attending UT's 33-16 victory over West Virginia on Saturday.

Nickelson, who went to high school at League City (Texas) Clear Falls, currently plays at Navarro College (Texas). He'll be a mid-year transfer and will have four years to play three.

Nickelson is the 18th commitment for Texas in 2015 and the sixth offensive lineman in the class along with Patrick Vahe, Ronnie Major, Toby Weathersby, Garrett Thomas, and Connor Williams.
