Texas is No 1

The Texas Longhorns played inspired football this weekend as they knocked off the No 23 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers. Many recruits in the stands were impressed by what they saw on Saturday afternoon including 5-foot-11, 215-pound DeMarco Boyd.

Demarco Boyd checks in from the class of 2016 from Gilmer (TX) and made an unofficial visit as Texas hosted West Virginia. Boyd is a three-star recruit who made the trip with his older brother and 2015 standout cornerback Kris Boyd.

"To be honest all I can say is I love it," Boyd said. "Nothing more said."

Fortunately, for Texas fans Boyd has plenty more to say about his visit to Austin yesterday afternoon.

"I came with my brother and my cousin Curtis Brown," Boyd said. "What I can say is, people who doubted coach [Charlie] Strong should stay with there first thought. People don't want to give him a chance but trust me I am giving him a chance. I believe in him BIG TIME!"

Boyd had one clear and simple message for the Texas coaching staff and fan base.

"Texas is my No 1," Boyd said.

Boyd has offers from Texas and Florida State with a great deal of interest from TCU and Oklahoma.
