Scout Spotlight: Devonaire Clarington

Get to know 4-star TE and Longhorns target Devonaire Clarington (Miami, Fla./Booker T. Washington).

Clarington (6-foot-5, 220 pounds) has emerged as one of Texas' top targets at tight end, and he's shown mutual interest by taking an official visit for the West Virginia game.

The dynamic playmaker is rated as the No. 8 TE and No. 230 player overall.

Here's our Scout evaluation of the highly sought-after tight end:

"Clarington has prototype size and athleticism and has been a force since he arrived in high school. At 6-foot-6 he should carry in the 260+ range down the road and is a mismatch both in the middle and down the field. He has Sunday potential. He flashes brilliance, but also has bouts of inconsistency and needs to improve his route running skills. Clarington has also lined up at DE and could have a future there as well."
