Scout Spotlight: John Burt

Get to know four-star Longhorns WR commitment John Burt (Tallahassee, Fla/Lincoln).

Burt (6-foot-2, 180 pounds), who is fresh off of a visit to Auburn, committed to the Longhorns in large part because of his relationship with Charlie Strong.

But he also chose Texas in part because of his familiarity with the university. His grandmother used to work at UT and he also has other family members who work there.

Here's our Scout evaluation of the star wide receiver:

"Burt is tall, long and runs extremely well. He makes a lot of big plays and is a deep threat who has the speed to take the ball to the end zone anytime he catches it. Burt get to full speed quickly and climbs quickly on cornerbacks in zone-off coverage. He has good hands and adjust to the ball well. He creates mismatches versus man coverage because of his size, speed and athleticism especially in the red zone. Burt is also a dangerous return man."
