Quincy Vasser Back from Texas

Charlie Strong and the rest of the Texas coaching staff are coming off a very productive recruiting weekend. Texas brought in six official visitors this past weekend.

Texas brought in wide receiver Ryan Newsome, linebacker's Malik Jefferson/Darrin Kirkland, offensive linemen Connor Williams/Tristan Nickelson and defensive linemen Quincy Vasser. Vasser checks in at 6-foot-4, 265-pounds out of Corsicana (Texas) Navarro junior college.

"My overall experience was amazing," Vasser said. "I loved everything. The chemistry I have with the other recruits was pretty cool. They seemed like some cool people with good heads on their shoulders. The best part of the whole trip was the whole trip, I loved it."

Vasser was able to spend time with his future head and position coach, Charlie Strong and Chris Rumph.

"Conversations with [Chris] Rumph and [Charlie] Strong we basically about getting ready to get there in January and make an impact," Vasser said.

Quincy Vasser had one more message for the Longhorn Nation.

"Last thing I would say is it's going to be a fun ride, Hook'Em," Vasser said.

Look for Charlie Strong, Vance Bedford and Brian Jean-Mary to make an in-home with Quincy Vassers mother today.
