Tristan Nickelson Talks about his future home

Charlie Strong and the rest of the Texas coaching staff are coming off a very productive recruiting weekend. Texas brought in six official visitors this past weekend including offensive linemen Tristan Nickelson.

Tristan Nickelson is 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive tackle prospect from Corsicana (Texas) Navarro junior college. Nickelson made his official visit to Texas this weekend.

"The overall experience was everything I could've hoped for! I got to experience what it was like to be a player there, and I got a closer look at how everything works," Nickelson said.

Texas brought in three big-time uncommitted players this weekend with Ryan Newsome, Malik Jefferson and Darrin Kirkland. Nickelson was not the only one who enjoyed himself this past weekend.

"I thought it was good," Nickelson said. "It seemed like everyone enjoyed themselves a lot. [Charlie] Strong is recruiting good guys on and off the field, and you could tell that by the guys they had in this weekend. The best part of the whole thing was getting to hang out with my future teammates and to get a feel for how daily life is. I talked a lot with both [Joe] Wickline and Strong. The overall message was they wanted me to come in and be ready."

What would Nickelson say to the Texas Longhorn fan base?

"What I'd tell the fans is that I'm here to make this team better and do everything in my power to help us win games," Nickelson said. "Also, how proud I am to be apart of this program and what coach Strong is putting together in Austin."
