Catching Up With Tristian Houston

HornsDigest caught up with Longhorns running back commitment Tristian Houston (Galena Park, Texas/North Shore) over the weekend to see if he was still solid with UT.

You can never be too sure these days, especially after the Longhorns lost a running back commitment last week when Jordan Stevenson flipped to Wisconsin.

That doesn't appear to be in the realm of possibilities with Houston, a three-star recruit rated as the No. 54 RB in the country.

"I'm 100 percent with Texas," Houston told HD.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Houston has been committed to the Longhorns since April but that hasn't stopped other programs from pursuing him.

"Alabama [who has offered] send me mail almost every day," he said.

In addition to the Crimson Tide, Houston has offers from Arkansas, LSU, Maryland, Mississippi State, Oregon State, and UCLA.

He doesn't have any other visits planned other than his scheduled official visit on Jan. 24.
