Chris Warren Back from Texas

Head coach Charlie Strong and the rest of the Longhorn coaching staff have been burning up the recruiting trail. Current Texas verbal commitment Garrett Thomas and the nations No 2 ranked running back prospect Chris Warren both made official visits with Texas.

Chris Warren checks in at 6-foot-2, 220-pounds from Rockwall (Texas) The four-star back holds offers from Texas, Oregon, Stanford, Alabama, Baylor and Texas A&M to name a few. Warren spoke highly of the Texas program.

"It was a great time," Warren said. "I loved every second from the time I walked into the room to the time I got into the car to leave."

Coach Strong is heavily involved with the recruitment of the star back, but he is not the only Texas coach.

"Strong, our relationship is great," Warren said. "I really feel like coach Strong and I can talk about anything at anytime. Coach [Tommie] Robinson and I have a strong relationship that just keeps getting stronger. We had a great time bonding this weekend and seeing how he acts with his guys in the film room and during practice. Coach [Shawn] Watson and I didn't have the best relationship but this weekend really helped us get closer, and he really seems like a coach that I could get along with on a regular basis."

What was the best overall part of the visit?

"The best overall part of the trip was when my mother and I visited the academic personnel and saw al the positive changes coach Strong and the staff have implemented," Warren said. "Texas is great and I will rank Texas after I take my last trip. It was great Austin, Hook'Em."
