Cameron Townsend Ready for Texas

The No 11 ranked outside linebacker has been committed to Texas since the end of October. The6-foot-1, 210-pound backer checks in from Missouri City (TX) Ridge Point.

Cameron Townsend is part of a very impressive linebacker unit for the Longhorns in 2015. Malik Jefferson, Cecil Cherry, Breckyn Hager, Anthony Wheeler join Townsend in this years recruiting class. They all bring different skill sets to the table and is just what linebacker coach Brian Jean-Mary is looking for.

Charlie Strong and the rest of the Longhorn staff have risen to No 4 in the country in the latest 2015 team rankings.

"You always see schools like Alabama in the news getting big time recruits and stuff, but I'd say as of late Texas is the most talked about school, Cameron Townsend said. "I don't have many feelings about that. I am just glad our team is going to be good."

Townsend talked about his strengths and weaknesses.

"I would say my biggest strengths would be my coverage skills, and play recognition," Townsend said. "I need to work on my tackling though. I'm very excited to get there in June. I got a long way to go before I'm ready, but looking forward to it."
