Tristian Houston Ready for Texas

Tristian Houston has everything you want you're running back to have. Instincts, toughness, and vision, are just a few of his strengths from the tailback position. The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Houston checks in from Galena Park (TX) North Shore.

Tristian Houston is one of the top running backs in the state of Texas. He is the No 13 ranked back in the Lone Star state. He has offers from some of the biggest names in college football including Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, UCLA, Mississippi State and the school of his choice the Texas Longhorns.

Houston will be a welcomed addition to the offensive backfield for running backs coach Tommie Robinson. Houston knows this is going to be a very special class that brings Texas back.

"Its very exciting to be part of a great recruiting class," Houston said. "I know we are going to be the class that turns Texas back into the top program they are supposed to be. I plan on running track to keep my speed up and to lift a lot more. I'm so ready to walk on campus as an official player and student of the University of Texas." Take:

He is one who doesn't waste a lot of time or movement once the ball is in his hands. Whether getting the ball on a sweep or between the tackles, Houston hits the hole hard and goes north and south. Not considered a power runner, but does not shy away from contact. One of the many pluses with him is that he plays for a program known as running the football with a downhill, smash-mouth type mentality.
