John Burt has committed to UT...Again

Four-star wide receiver John Burt has decided to commit to the University of Texas, again. The nation's No 19 ranked wide receiver prospect checks in from Tallahassee (Fla) Lincoln.

John Burt is the No. 5 ranked wide receiver in the state of Florida, No. 10 in the southeast, No. 19 in the country and No 153 regardless of position.

He is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound long and lean wide out who is a tremendous downfield threat. He has a great combination of size and speed.

Burt is one of the most heavily recruited players in the class of 2015. He holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and LSU to name a few. At the end of the day, he decided Texas was the right place to further his football and academic career.

Burt joins wide receivers DeAndre McNeal and Gilbert Johnson in the class of 2015. All three of these players have great size, speed and athletic ability coupled with great hands. The Texas Longhorns wide receiver unit has been seriously upgraded as we head into National Signing Day.

Scouting John Burt:

Burt is tall, long and runs extremely well. He makes a lot of big plays and is a deep threat that has the speed to take the ball to the end zone any time he catches it. Burt gets to full speed quickly and climbs quickly on cornerbacks in zone-off coverage. He has good hands and adjusts to the ball well. He creates mismatches versus man coverage because of his size, speed and athleticism especially in the red zone. Burt is also a dangerous return man.
