"The recruiting process has been awesome, my family and I have enjoyed it but it's by no means over yet," Shackelford said. "I've visited quite a but of schools for games, I've liked them all. I'm going to Texas junior day the 28th; Wickline wrote me a handwritten letter asking me to come, looking forward to attending."
The Texas coaching staff is making a strong impression on families and recruits all across the state of Texas.
"I like the coaching staff at Texas," Shackelford said. "I like the way that they grind on you and try and make you better. I would describe myself as a pretty nice guy off the field, but when I strap those pads on its a different story, I like to finish blocks with a purpose, and I would say I play with a lot of physicalities, and I'm pretty "nasty" as coaches have told me in the past."
